Interested in some battle ropes to get your HIIT workouts at home? Here are some recommendations for the two best battle ropes you can find online.

What you need in battle ropes is a rope that is both sturdy and carries some weight. There are many battle ropes out there that don’t really have any weight to it so you’re essentially just swinging around pieces of cloth rather than getting a good workout in.

If you’re looking for the premium, then Pro Battle Ropes is the way to go. However, if you’re someone that doesn’t mind the cheaper stuff then Colfit Battle Ropes suffice too. Pro Battle Ropes are double the price of Colfit Battle Ropes but there’s really a specific reason for that.

Let’s compare the two and see which one we should get for our future killer workouts.

These Are The Top Two Battle Ropes For 2020:

1. Pro Battle Ropes w/ Anchor Strap Kit (Click To Check Current Price On Amazon): Pro Battle Ropes is durable and carries the weight necessary to get a good workout. It’s the leading brand of Battle Ropes because it lasts long and even has a money back guarantee.

2. Colfit Battle Ropes w/Anchor Strap (Click To Check Current Price On Amazon):  Colfit Battle Ropes is also one of the leading brands but comes second due to its lightweight. You can definitely still get a great workout if you are new to working out. This is totally recommended for beginners so check it out if you’re just getting started.

Why I Chose The Pro Battle Ropes

  • They offer durability and have been with me for 2 years now. I own a gym in Southern California so I wanted to make sure that the equipment I buy lasts for at least 5 years. I’m in my second year of business and these ropes have not even come close to tearing apart.

  • They have some weight to it which means I’ll be getting a really awesome sweat in. Some ropes don’t have any weight, some ropes are too heavy. The Pro Battle ropes are the perfect in between where I can swing them around comfortably while still getting a workout in.

  • They have an anchor (which you can find in the Colfit Battle Ropes as well) which means you get an even amount of rope within each hand. This isn’t necessary but it saves time having to adjust the rope evenly.

Features To Look For In a Quality Battle Rope

  • At least 50 feet long. Any less than that and you’ll find that you can’t get the ropes to function as you would like them to

  • Heavy: anywhere from 25-30lbs. Any less than this and you won’t be getting a workout in (Men: 30 Women:25)

  • A good handle: if the handle looks like it's taped up then do not buy it. You want something that is sewed on and looks professionally secured onto the rope.

  • Has an anchor: It’s pretty annoying having to adjust your roped so an anchor that you can set up on a pole can be a huge time saver

  • A sleeve around the rope: if you’re going to be using these ropes indoors, then you don’t want pure rope to be hitting your floors. Getting a sleeve around the ropes prevents scratches which is a huge plus.

Battle Ropes offer you a fun workout without having to sit through an hour of Low Intensity Cardio every day. There’s a ton of different workouts you can do with this piece of equipment and you can see the fat shed off from 15-20 minutes a day with these.

We have tons of articles explaining the benefit of a caloric deficit along with these workouts, so make sure to check them out if you want to get in the best shape of your lives.

About Battle Ropes

There are two types of cardio that you can do everyday that have their own unique benefits. One is HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and the other is (LISS) Low Intensity Steady State. A combination of both of these are great but it’s pretty hard to get an effective HIIT session without equipment.

A typical HIIT workout consists of high bursts of energy with breaks in between that range from 30-40 seconds. This is why battle ropes are super effective. When you swing the ropes as fast and as intensively as you can, you really deplete your body which is the basis of all HIIT workouts.

This type of workout improves cardiovascular health, promotes muscle groups in the upper body, burns more calories, and increases your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) which will really expedite the fat loss process.

Our recommendation is to do 10 sets of 30 seconds with a 30 second break in between each set. Go as hard as you can for those 30 seconds and work at it until your arms feel like they’re going to fall off. Pair this with a caloric deficit and you’ll see some really substantial results.

Make sure to check out the Pro Battle Ropes if you want a quality piece of equipment or, if you want to save some money, Colfit Battle Ropes will do just fine.
